The culture of our origins is invaluable to this, however we invest less and less money and resources for it. We light the tradition
The geniality of the project “We light the tradition” from Molfetta to Hoboken will be realized and also described through a documentary.
The Cultural Association Oll Muvi, those of I Love Molfetta, is ready to carry out this project, to show the world the great realities of migration, keeping alive our roots with the construction and subsequent donation of the illuminations of the typical festivities Pugliesi.
A documentary will be produced on the subject, an author film of high cultural value lasting about 40 minutes. The emigrants themselves will play an active part in the project, lending their voice to the story of their new life in the States, without ever forgetting their beautiful country especially without ever forgetting their traditions and their origins.
A documentary will be made, called “We light the tradition” by director Riccardo Marino, produced by “SERIOUS PRODUCTION” based in Rome. It will be a documentary about emigration, focusing in particular on the creation of a Luminary specifically made for this event passed down for 90 years in the great land of America, thanks to the connection with our land of origin.
The initiative “We light the tradition” will be described through a series of interviews with great people who made themselves available to explain to the public how the Hoboken Italian Festival, the Feast of the Madonna Dei Martiri came to be. In fact, excellent testimonies have already been gathered, while other testimonials will soon be added to this extraordinary adventure. So far the production has reported the names of the Mayor of Molfetta Paola Natalicchio, Don Giuseppe De Candia, the Cipriani family, the president of the band Santa Cecilia, Roberto Pansini and many others.
The production has appealed on the WEB for the need of concrete economic support from all those who want to see the realization of this project. “We Light The Tradition” will come to life thanks to a crowdfunding campaign launched on the website “I Love Molfetta” is requesting donations that start at a minimum of 1.00 EUR. (www.ilovemolfetta.it/crowdfunding). A minimum donation of 10.00 EUR. will forever tie your name to the project since your name will be listed on the ending titles of the documentary, following the event in September.
