Welcome to Hoboken Italian Festival the feast of Madonna dei Martiri in USA.
First, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to our vendors and guest. We are gld to have friends who are distinguished in their own achievements. Friends who have given our club their support, their advice, their time and commitment without which we couldn't be the strong club we are you now. Your encouragement is truly appreciated.
As we celebrate the 97th Anniversary of the feast, I cannot help look back and reminisce how far we have come.
Our small feast started out at the corner of 3rd and Adams. But, even so many years ago, our goal had always been to duplicate the feast celebrated in Italy as best we could. The day we opened our featon the Hoboken waterfront is the day our dream came true. Our feast is as close as anyone can get to the way it is celebrated Molfetta! Special shout-out to Roberto Pansini, who has worked diligently on getting us lights made in Italy, in Puglia. This makes our feast even more authentic and we could not be more excited!!
I know that our families who have already departed from us are looking down at us and are very proud of all that we have been able to accomplish. Perhaps what the dreamed is now a reality for us. I know my father is very proud. The commitment I have made to this club is largely attributed to him. It was my father who took me with him to the feast meetings, church set-ups and everything else that came with a successful festival since the early age of 9.
In closing, I fell honored and privileged to be able to serve the Club MDM and would like to thank all our club members who have given me the opportunity to serve the Club and theis President.
