Light The Night Walk The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society contribuisci e sostieni anche tu la ricerca contro il cancro per salvare vite umane.
Noi dell'Associazione Oll Muvi, quelli di I Love Molfetta, condividiamo con i nostri followers l'iniziativa di un molfettese emigrato negli States, lui si chiama Gino Altamura, qui di seguito la sua lettera:
Dear Family / Friends
I am forming a team for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light The Night Walk, and I’m hoping you will join me.
Light The Night Walk is LLS’s annual walk and fundraising event and the nation’s night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer. Teams of friends, family and co-workers raise funds for LLS’s mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Walkers carry illuminated lanterns—white for survivors, red for supporters and gold for those who have lost a loved one to blood cancer.
As you may know, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, completed 6 months of Chemo and continue to be checked with frequent doctor visits. I had and still have lots of support from my caring Family & Friends. This walk is really special and extremely important to me, as I’m doing all I can, to help others, and hope to make a difference for whomever is affected by this horrible disease called “Cancer”.
Please consider walking on my team “Team Gino”. Simply log on www.lightthenight.org register to walk with myself and my Team so we, together, can commit to raising funds and make a difference in someone’s life. For every registered person raising $100.00 or more LLS will give that person a free T-Shirt and lantern to walk with, the evening of the walk.
